Bio: Larry Glover, LISW

Larry is founding director of the Wild Resiliency Institute (www.wildresiliency.com) (2004) and of Paradigm Ventures, Inc. (1989). He works with individuals and communities of intention in support of their wild resiliency™. Larry defines Wild Resiliency as the capacity, arising out of our deepest creative spontaneity, to orient toward hardiness, wholeness, and transformation, in service of Life. It is the courageous willingness to be loyal to our greatest potentiality, our inner Joy. As such, during these times of tremendous challenge and change, WR is a radical affirmation of faith in the breath-of-life that animates us, and that unites humanity with all our relations.

This faith is born as a gift out of Larry's own life adventures. He has, in desperation, eaten what could be culled out of a garbage dumpster, and sold his blood for cash. He has been a professional Forest Fire Fighter, once met a black bear inside his tent, and spent three months of isolation on top a mountain in a Fire Lookout. As a professional Wilderness Guide, Larry has led wilderness expeditions with groups that include: youth at risk, convicted murders, transitioning millionaire entrepreneurs, international business executives, and Native American Elders.

Larry is known for his ability to create space and context in support of individuals and groups. He brings an action-learning orientation to his play and work, as well as an incorporation of poetry, mythology, and ecology, and an integration of the western and indigenous sciences. Larry is a Licensed Independent Social Worker.
